How to uninstall Eyva completely
Published at https://conserius.com/uninstall and in the app under Help ▸ Uninstall Eyva….
Dragging Eyva to the Trash removes the app, but not your data. Eyva keeps everything on your Mac, so this page lists every place it writes, and how to remove each one. Nothing here can be undone: export anything you want to keep first (Eyva ▸ Settings ▸ Export my data).
Step 1 — Delete your account (only if you have one)
Your account — email address, plan, signed-in Macs — lives on our server, not on your Mac. Removing the app does not delete it. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first (Settings → Account & plan → Manage subscription). Then, before you remove the app, open Settings → Account & plan → Delete account: it lists what is deleted and what is kept under a random id, and deletes it when you confirm. Or write to privacy@conserius.com from your account email, and we delete it and confirm by email.
Step 2 — Quit Eyva
Choose Eyva ▸ Quit Eyva (⌘Q). If it is set to open at login, also turn that off: System Settings ▸ General ▸ Login Items, select Eyva and click –.
Step 3 — Remove the app
Drag Eyva from your Applications folder to the Trash.
Step 4 — Remove Eyva's data
In Finder, choose Go ▸ Go to Folder… (⇧⌘G), paste each path below, and move what you find to the Trash. Then empty the Trash.
| Path | What it is |
|---|---|
~/Library/Application Support/Eyva | Everything Eyva knows: its database (conversations, memory, notes, people), settings, attachments, the record of every network connection, crash records, nightly backups, the on-device search model and the local AI model if Eyva installed it, and map caches |
~/Library/Application Support/Eyva Install | One earlier copy of the app, kept by the installer so an update can be rolled back |
Also check for these, which only some installs have:
- A hidden folder named
.eyvain your home folder — older versions kept attachments and call notes there. In Finder press ⇧⌘. to show hidden files. - Eyva's own voice, if you installed it — the folder you chose for it when you set it up.
- Exports you made — files named
eyva-export-followed by a date, wherever you saved them. - Ollama. If you already used Ollama before Eyva, Eyva used your existing Ollama rather than its own copy and did not put its files in Ollama's folder. If a model you do not want is listed by
ollama list, remove it withollama rm <name>.
Or, in Terminal, these two commands do the main part of step 4:
rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Eyva"
rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Eyva Install"
Step 5 — Remove Eyva's Keychain items
Eyva keeps its secrets in your login keychain. Open Keychain Access, search for Eyva, and delete the items below — or run the matching line in Terminal (run each line until it says the item could not be found):
| Keychain item ("Where" / service) | What it holds | Terminal |
|---|---|---|
| Eyva Seal | The key that seals Eyva's database | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Seal" |
| Eyva Veil Vault | The key for the short-lived table that un-masks cloud replies | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Veil Vault" |
| Eyva Public Identity | The names you asked Eyva to search for you under | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Public Identity" |
| Eyva Account | Your account session on this Mac | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Account" |
| Eyva Web Search | Your Brave Search key, if you added one | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Web Search" |
| Eyva Premium Voice | The premium-voice key, if present | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Premium Voice" |
| Eyva Printer | Your OctoPrint key, if you added one | security delete-generic-password -s "Eyva Printer" |
Deleting Eyva Seal makes any copy of Eyva's database that is left behind unreadable.
Step 6 — Reset the permissions you gave Eyva
macOS remembers what you allowed (microphone, camera, screen recording, files, automation…). To forget all of it, run in Terminal:
tccutil reset All com.eyva.desktop
tccutil reset All com.eyva.agent
tccutil reset All com.eyva.helper.location
Location Services is not reset by this. Turn it off by hand: System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Location Services, find Eyva, and switch it off. Also check Full Disk Access and Accessibility in the same pane and remove Eyva with – if it is still listed.
What Eyva does not leave
Eyva installs no background service outside its own app, no files in ~/Library/Logs, ~/Library/Caches or ~/Library/Preferences, and no analytics or crash-reporting software. If you find anything else named Eyva, tell us at support@conserius.com.
